Re: Mirena/Hair Loss and Coloring Hair...Advice needed!!

i personally wouldnt do anything like colour the hair just yet, as colouring can make it more fragile and prone to breakage (as well as the chemicals get into the system - damn, cant remember the name of the chemical but there is a common chemical used in dark hair colours which is linked to cervical cancer - after the mirena, probably not a good idea to give ourselves any more chemicals than absolutely necessary, especially ones adversely affecting the femal reproductive area!!) if you want to continue colouring though, leave it at least another couple of months if you can, before using chemical colour on it. if you just want to be covering up a little regrowth area, then i have been told that using cooled down strong tea will impart a little brown colour, but i dont know how effective that is:)good luck, pleased to hear your hair loss has slowed down anyway, that is fantastic news:) x
