Howdy from Texas ...

Hey AP - greetings from Texas.

Yes, I love Dr. Hotze (he's one of the very few MD's who are "good guys") and I listen to him on the radio sometimes and actually get his newsletter. I'm taking bio-identical hormones from a similar type doctor in Austin. I knew Dr. Hotze was an MD, but I didn't realize he was also an ND. Interesting.

Re thyroid: Mine seems to have a mind of its own but I'm determined to get mine up and running. My temperature is usually 97 or below when I first wake up and if it gets over 97.4 I'm usually coming down with something. I'm currently taking 9 drops of Lugol's and last night it actually got up to 98.5 and I didn't feel ill, but it was back down to 97.1 this morning.

Currently, my whole right leg is swelling including my ankle so at others' suggestions from curezone (what would I do without these guys), I did 4 of the salt water protocol sessions. Couldn't really tell any change, but I'll try again today.

Honestly, I think it may be this drug I'm taking for high blood pressure, but I cut out the other two I was taking and can't afford to cut them all. It's just too risky.

My mother's little yard man can hardly walk himself. He's got diabetes and has recently stared taking meds for HBP. He said his legs started hurting and it became difficult to walk. He said he stopped taking the meds for a couple of days and his legs actually got much better, but his BP went way up. (It would be something if we were taking the same drug). He's 80 years old and other than the diabetes has always been very active and I doubt he's been too open to alternative type stuff. I copied out a report I had on lowering HBP naturally and gave it to him last night and he said he was willing to try anything. Pain is a great motivator!!!

I've ordered this herbal stuff called Mukta Vati from India that's supposed to help regulate BP and help you wean off the heavy drugs, so I may just bite the bullet until then. Unless I start spiking a big fever or have streaks running up and down my legs, I don't intend to go to the doctor. I'm always worse than better and think I'll just stick close to curezone.

Good to hear from you. Keep in touch.

Stef from Texas
