Re: i HATE the IUD!!!
hi blackbuttafli, i hope that by now the pain you were experiencing is beginning to get a bit better. i started to feel better straight away, though i went home after having the mirena removed, and lay down for a while and took it easy for the rest of the day. i had only very slight tummy ache afterwards, almost nothing really, but i knew my system had had a trauma, so that's why i rested, and had some of my cure all, chamomile tea:) I felt fine the next day, after a good sleep. The actual side effects that i had had with mirena started to go the same day, though some effects like the Acne
took a couple of months, and even now it is not completely gone, but much better than it was. Cant remember if i mentioned it to you before, but i also had some hot flushes for a few days afterwards which gradually went off, and have made a reappearance with my periods - its just the body righting itself, so it is nothing to be concerned about:)
If you rest up, hopefully you should be ok. Don't go lifting anything which could put a strain on your stomach muscles and/or your uterus and make any abdomen pain that you have worse. Hope that helps, do keep us posted:) x
