O1 is by definition a free radical. O1 is what you effectively get from H2O2 (Hydrogen-Peroxid) or ozone. The difference between O1 and any other free radical is the direction of the electron spin. Therefore O1 has an affinity to other free radicals, combining with them to make them less harmful.I do advocate for the use of antioxidants when doing any oxygen therapy to protect the healthy cells which could be weakened and/or damaged without their use by the O1 produced from these therapies.
hope this helps
