No, not true. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but because I wanted to stock up for the best price before the 1st, I initially called Clarkson and asked if I could order from them because I had heard the same thing about California and I live in Texas.

I was told they use Ricca's (in Arlington, Texas), but being an individual I couldn't order directly from Ricca's. I don't know if that's Clarkson's only supplier.

So I ordered 2 - 1 liter bottles at $33.10 each +$10 shipping. I think the first order may be a minimum $50. After that I don't think it matters.

I have ordered 4 - 1 liter bottles from Clarkson/Ricca's and have received them within 2 days.

I'll call Clarkson again tomorrow or if anybody orders from them please report back.
