Re: Esophageal ulcers and Iodine

Thank you all, This was incredibly helpful posts. My uncle is not the kind who takes things in his hands. He likes doctors to tell him what he needs to do, so this will be hard. I know I can get him to take slipper elm though. I need a source in London for slipper elm. Uny, thank you for all the links, as usual.

If I tell my aunt she will go and get the herb and force him to take it. They juice everyday so that would be easy to put in the juice.

Question, Does slippery elm knock out the acid in the stomach? I read that Native Americans ate this bark when they had no food to eat, which tells me that it must neutralize the acid and thus make you less hungry. Am I making sense?

Please let me know so I could use this herb myself.

Thank you all again.
