What style of anulom-vilom does Swami Vishnudevananda suggest? Is it the breath retention type or simple alternate breathing?
BKS Iyengar mentions that it is necessary to do pranayam after yogasana to ensure the person gets maximum cooling/soothing effect of pranayam. But Swami Ramdev feels pranayam is more important and so he recommends doing pranayam first.
I had read Vishnu devananda's book called Sivananda companion to yoga where the sample routine recommended performing kapalbhati+anulom-vilom before asana. So i used to think he doesnt believe in doing pranayam after asana
