Re: I have a question about my mother

I'm just reluctant to have a relationship with him because when I was communicating with him a while back he told my mother that he asked me if he could come visit me for his Christmas break from college and that I said "no". The fact is that he never even asked me himself. He just told my mother that he asked me. My mom was acting like she felt so sorry for him and jumped all over me. She got very very angry with me.

My Mom ended up asking me for him and I did say No to her because at the time I was working full time overnight shift and going to college full-time myself. I was also taking my 2 kids to and from school everyday. It would've been my kids Christmas vacation also which meant I wouldn't have to take them to school. Since I work at night and sleep during the days their Christmas break would've been my chance to get 8 hours of sleep. I usually get off work at 7am, then go to sleep when I get home at around 9am and sleep until its time to pick them up which is around 2pm That makes about 5 hours of sleep average. Also, I still had to work during Christmas. With him visiting I would've had to get off work and stay awake all day while he was visiting. I wouldn't have gotten any sleep at all.

When I said "no" my mother got mad at me and said "well HE needs a break" My brother was only going to college. He wasn't working. My mother and step father pay for everything for him. I've been on my own since I was 19. I'm the one working, going to college full-time and taking care of 2 kids but my mother said "HE needs a break"??????
My brother got mad at me also he was telling my mom he thought I was being selfish.
Anyway, that's why I haven't been communicating with him very since then.
