It makes sense. My brother-in-law says the reason folks sunburn is because of a lack of oxygen. Since Iodine is supposed to increase oxygen, then if what he says is true, it should follow that with Iodine there would be less burning. I burn way too easily, so I'm not prepared to deliberately make myself a guinea pig to test this out, but I definitely am going to be watching the next time I am out in the sun how long it takes me to burn. I have a hard time with burning because I'm sensitive to the hypoallergenic sunscreens ... they burn worse than the burns!
