Wonderful news! Eating yogurt while taking Antibiotics is a good thing because it will help to replace the good bacteria in your gut that will be killed off by the Antibiotics . While antibioics kill off all bacteria, both good and bad, they do not kill yeast. This leaves the unfortunate situation of the yeast being able to roam freely with no competition from the good bacteria. The good baceria in the yogurt will help to replace that bacteria, and in turn, will help to crowd out the yeast in your body as it tries to take advantage of the newly freed up space.
It's also very important to continue eating yogurt or supplementing with a good probiotic afer finishing with the Antibiotics , because it may take some time to rebuild your body's good bacteria, its natural defense against yeast. Several people here like to use fermented vegetables as a good probiotic, like Rejuvenative sauerkraut or Kimchee. They pack a very good punch of probiotics.
P.S. Farm fresh yogurt sounds so wonderful! Some here like to make their yogurt at home so that they can ferment it longer. The longer yogurt ferments, the lower its Sugar content.
