Trapper, are you showing other signs of overload?

A few months ago, I would have been inclined to agree with Uny. But now I hesitate, for several reasons.

1. We have always been encouraged on this forum to listen to our own body. Trapper has been doing iodine, and other modalities for a long time, longer than most of us.

2. We know detox to be things being eliminated, sometimes not so pleasant coming out, but often followed by a feeling of exhilaration. Sounds like detox to me, things coming out the skin, not just iodine. And then there is that exhilaration....

3. Attitude is everything - the steps of a righteous man, etc. Trapper has a great attitude and this is not the first time he has been encouraged to back up. Sometimes we have faith in ourselves, in our steps being ordered, and what would not work for someone else with a different attitude, works for him. My son once told me he felt he had an advantage over other people because he knew there was not only one way to do something.

4. Other people have Iodine coming out in brown pee and continue on the same dose because they have health issues not yet resolved. Garlic comes out the pores too.

5. I am sure people who go on long fasts are told to stop by well meaning friends. I see this as no different. Trapper has to make his own decisions about how far and how long he goes, and we have to be here to love and support his decisions, even if they are not our decisions. If we believe he is in danger, and say so, and he ignores our opinion, we have to respect that decision.

6. Trapper is a pioneer - whatever happens, he is making his mark in Iodine history.

So, Trapper, as long as you are not showing signs of Iodine toxicity or overload, such as heart palpitations, racing thoughts, insomnia or other symptoms of hyperthyroiditis, and are doing your due diligence, such as taking breaks and monitoring your symptoms, then I celebrate you.

I don't know, at this time, if I will ever get to more than 50-60 mg per day, and I feel OK about that for now. I will just have to listen to my body, as you have. I have purposely held myself back a little because I have a pattern of jumping in the deep end. And although it is thrilling, sometimes the changes come too many, too fast. Each to his own, I say.
