Re: can i help my kitty's allergies?
A raw chicken diet has made a huge difference in my cats' health and I can't recommend it enough. Since switching my two cats to a raw meat diet they have never been sick, their temperaments have improved, and their coats are incredibly smooth and soft, they even stopped occasionally vomiting for no reason. I think it is very likely that a raw meat diet would help your cat, since it is the most natural diet for a cat to eat it puts the least stress on their system and provides the best nutrition. I am sure
Iodine would help as well. If your kitty won't drink it in water be patient and keep offering it, cats are fussy creatures. In the mean time I would switch your kitty to an all raw chicken diet. Allergies can be cured with diet, I used to be allergic to cats and after changing my diet suddenly my cat allergy was gone, along with my dust and pollen allergies. Avoiding grains is one of the main things that got rid of my allergies. If grains are bad for me, surely they cannot be good for a cat, an animal intended and equipped by nature to eat meat. If the above recipes sound daunting but you still want to try raw food I'd suggest getting some raw chicken wings and chopping them up into about 1
inch pieces for your cat, supplemented with the best quality chicken hearts and livers you can get. Some cats will eat raw food right away and some need convincing, so good luck. I really hope you find something that helps your cat.
