We don't know where we'll "go", but it seems likely that it is best to not remain the same and stagnate, and an appropriate amount of change reflects increased learning of the Group. It'd be bad to move the Group without soliciting input - that would cause alienation. Still, there are probably many who are alienated by much of the off-topic material, for reasons you've hinted at. We can't make everyone happy, but I've got a gut feel that we can do better - continuous quality improvement. I'm a big believer in steering slowly with a ship this size. At this stage, someone not familiar with the personalities and the history would have a heck of a time extracting info, without reading and sifting thru tons of material. I'd like to consider whether it's worth our while making things easier on them, and if so, how to best accomplish it.
