Re: Natural cosmetics for oily acne-prone skin

I tried toothpaste on my skin many years ago, the first time I ever got an Acne breakout. I had heard someone say it was good at clearing it up. Well, I was desperate and I had already used every over the counter cream you could think of, so I hoped and I wished toothpaste would work. I made a deal with myself, if the toothpaste didn't work, I would start seeking medical treatment at the dermatologist. So, I tried the toothpaste and it got WORST, ALOT WORST, I regret ever using it, and I wished I could smack the person that told me to try it. After that, off to the derm's office I went, and have been there ever since =( and it's been YEARS now of suffering, along with my long list of otc products, I can now add an even longer of presciption meds to the list of "useless adventures"... Although this was just my own reaction, it doesn't mean the same would happen to you, but I thought you should know that it can complicate the matter further. If you want to try it, be wise and test it first (this goes with any product) only try it in a small area to see what happens, DON'T TRY IT ALL OVER!!!
