The more I read about fasting, the more I realize carbs, as long as they aren't chips and such, are very good for us. Kids run around a lot and they need the energy that grains, pastas, and rice provide them. Protein is one of the culprits in the American diet that has our bodies so out of whack. Did you know they changed the food pyramid? Look it up and you'll see that grains are a very important part of our diet. I commend you for getting rid of the junk food and making healthier choices for your whole family. Keep it up!
