Yesterday was day 2 for me and it was difficult. I made it to day 3 and I'm still going strong. Every time I want to make excuses for breaking the fast I stop that train of thought and get back to drinking water or some small activity to keep me busy.
If we had the self-control to ignore our strong impulse for food we would have changed our diets already, but we need some of that junk worked out of our systems. Trust me, I've done several fasts over the last year and once you get past day 3 you can at least make it to 5-10 days. That short fast alone helps curb your appetite. You still have to fight off the desires for food when you're eating, right? So why not detox your body a bit, increase your confidence, and then when you break your fast whether on day 6, 14, or 40 you'll have a stronger YOU facing the challenge of healthy eating. I know it's hard, but you can do it. God bless you!
