Aww! Yay, I'm SO proud of you! That mantra has helped me on previous fasts- I used to be 189, now I'm 179, so it's helped me keep off 10 pounds (I did it a few months ago). I'm starting tomorrow. We're so going to do this! :) The first day or 2 is usually just water loss, but it's that bloaty icky water loss, so it's definitely beneficial, and paving the way for your body to reverse its fuel burning method to burning fat for energy. I also know that people with more of an excess of weight lose more quickly. You'll probably lose a lot for the first week, then it'll probably taper off to about 6-7 pounds a week (approx 1 lb. a day) Keep it up, you're almost over the hardest part!
