This is an Iodine forum not a sodium chloride forum. A discussion regarding halogen displacement is probably appropriate because the halogens displace iodine. I have posted material here in the past from Tibetan medicine and Aryuvedic medicine about the different kinds of salts and the effect that salt has on the "wind" humor.
The "wind" humor has lot to do with Depression and one's mental state in general.

It doesn't surprise me that peole are getting all kinds of headachs with the
extreme dosages being tossed around here both for Iodine and salt usage.
How many people doing these protocols have actually determined they are overloaded
with anything other than panic about the conditions of modern life's toxins?

My orientation towards health is with respect to the three classical humors,
wind phlegm and bile which correspond to desire, ignorance and hatred on an emotional level. You can find these humors referred to throughout Greek litterature
