That's a common mistake. The recipe for each lemonade is:
1 ounce (2Tablespoons) freshly squeezed Lemonade
1 ounce (2Tablespoons) Grade B Maple syrup
8 ounces purified water
1/10 teaspoon ground cayenne
Add it all up and it comes to 10 ounces. Because a lot of folks around here make up a whole day's batch at once instead of making the individual drinks, I think it might be a little confusing.
If you are indeed making up a full day's batch, be sure not to add the cayenne to the big batch. The cayenne will get hotter and hotter as it sits. So don't let it sit in there. When you're ready to drink a serving, pour 10 ounces into a glass and add your cayenne.
If you are drinking 8 lemonades per day, here is your recipe for a day:
Lemon - 8 oz
Maple - 8 oz
Water - 64 oz
Total - 80 oz (8 -10oz drinks)
Add 1/10 teaspoon cayenne to each serving when you are ready to drink it.
