I wrote at one time that I suspected some may have vitamin D metabolism issues... could be caused by any number of needed co-factors. One I would suspect is essential fatty acids.

Another thought is how much sun do you get?

We synthesize vitamin D in the skin (I have read also that it is the vitamin D precursor we synthesize in the skin) given all needed co-factors to do so.
