I agree. I am in the process of planting flowers, shrubs, etc. for all kinds of birds and butterflies! I didn't try honey either after reading about it. I did put raw sugar cane, but they wouldn't touch that either. The only thing my oriole feeder is drawing is flies! I'm thinking of using it inside my house!! ha.

I did find a page that said you don't have to color the water that if the feeder has some red on it, and I've never seen one without red, that is enough to attract them. So now the water is just clear. But they aren't touching it with the raw sugar cane either. I suppose it's back to ole white sugar unless I can come up something else!
