Re: raw stomach
gotta love them doctors!! i have had some pretty bad experiences myself. i haven't had my period in just about a year now and my last visit to the gyne was less than pleasant. during my visit, i asked the doc why he thought i wasn't getting my period and he mumbled something about PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) but then told me it was no big deal and shrugged it off as nothing to be concerned about nor was it something i needed to even know about. then he mentioned a few other things about testing my thyroid but when i told him i got it tested maybe a year ago he said...oh ok...no need to look into that further. a lot can change in a year! only thing he did was have be get blood drawn to check for overproduction of male hormones (which came back normal).
then he actually asked me "how often would you like to get your period?" and i said, what do you mean?? and he says..."once every couple of months, every six months, etc?". and i said i want it every month of course like i am supposed to have it and how i always used to!?!?! he was basically getting at the fact that i should just go on birth control to force the period and there are different kinds that will give it to me only every so often. he told me it really isn't necessary for a woman to have her period every month! is he nuts?! he also gave me a prescription for something to force an immediate period but i threw it out when i left. i am never going back there again.
anyhow...i was just researching hiatal hernia's and i guess it doesn't necessarily mean an overproduction of stomach acid. it just means the stomach itself is protruding and can force the acid back up the esophagus causing the reflux. i sure do hope
Iodine can help you out with this. i don't know much about hiatal hernia's or possible cures but the
Iodine seems to help with so many different problems so you never know!
