Re: Anal Itching after enemas...could this be candida?
Hi scry606, when I read your other post where you asked about itching following enemas, several possibilities came to mind:
1. Gross as it may be, worms are a possibility. A simple stool test can determine this and that will either put your mind at ease or indicate the need for a
parasite elimination program.
2. Did you thoroughly lubricate both the enema tube and anus before each enema? What did you use for lubricant?
3. I've never personally used coconut oil in an enema so I don't know about that, but years ago I took baking soda enemas daily for a week, and that caused terrible burning and itching around my anus. Changing to tapwater for just 2 days made the itching go away. I haven't used baking soda in an enema since.
So I'd recommend just a single warm bottled water
Sea Salt only enema before bedtime and see if that helps ease the itch. Don't add anything else. You want the solution to as closely approximate the water content of your own body as possible. Pure bottled spring water is better than distilled water because distilled water is devoid of mineral content that our bodies need to maintain electrolyte balance.
I hope this helps, but it's a good idea to have a stool test to put your mind at ease.
Best wishes, Valerie
