Animals DO GET mixed up abt what is good for them!
Hi,Mamacat,
I regret to tell you that animals can be misled about what is good foer them in just the same way people can.
When exposed to an easy source od less nutritious food, usually from humans, they develop a taste for it...dare we say, an ADDICTION to it???
A few examples are bears, foxes, racoons and human garbage.
Another is seen in pets. Cats and birds especially can become fixated on foods that are far from ideal nutrition, to the point that they refuse healthy food. When I was working with aminal rehabilitation, trying to reducate them re: diet was often a main component. Their emotional and physical health problems rerely resolved if they refused to eat healty. Sound familiar?
Animals DO NOT have some mystic wisdom that protects them from the basic principles of life!
It is our job, assigned by the Creator of all, to assist them in securing what is good for them, not give them things that are harmful!
This is loving sovereignty, just as God himself exercises loving sovereignty.
Seek life and health for the animals as well as for ourselves!
