Re: Iodine Tincture

I live in Miami where there is a heavy Latin population. Even the major drugstores like Walgreens carry a Spanish line of products. One of the Latin products is Yodo Fuerte, meaning Strong Iodine. It is 7% iodine, 5% potassium iodide, 85% alcohol and purified water. It is $1 and change depending when/where. Some of the brands have the skull and crossbones, some don't. All the brands are local to Miami, and they also make other medicinal products Latins use.

I took some of the kind without the skull and crossbones with no ill effects; now I am having trouble finding it. The Latins take it by mouth too, because once when I was looking for Iodine to take my mouth, the clerk knew exactly what I meant and sent me to Yodo Fuerte. The kind with the skull and crossbones has exactly the same ingredients and amounts as the kind that doesn't.

What do you think?
