Hot/warm water, Kevin?
Just sip hot/warm water, as though it were tea. ...As often as you think of it.
Dried kelp is one of the least expensive things in the healthfood store. Munch a little daily, with food.
Mung beans for sprouting are also inexpensive. Sprout them in a jar on your kitchen counter. A little sunlight allows production of chlorophyll, which is a bonus, but they will sprout anyway, and give you living enzymes for digestion.
Cover the jar loosely with a piece of cloth secured with a rubber band. Rinse with cool water at least once per day, and turn the jar upside down, at an angle, in your dish drainer.
Fresh pineapple with fresh papaya is another great source of living digestive enzymes, as is Bio-K, though they are more expensive.
Get your food from the freshest organic produce you can find. A little amount of the freshest you can find is far more satisfying that a lot of the other kind.
I am enjoying meals of steel-cut oats porridge. There are many ways to 'dress it up', and it is the least expensive item in the cereal section of our healthfood store. ...Filling and satisfying, too.
Once in a while we have a meal of mushy peas. Take a handful of split peas and cook them in enough water to cover well, without salt. (Salt in the cooking water prevents the peas from becoming soft. Don't know why.)
Keep the cooking heat fairly low, as they can easily dry up the water, and burn. It's not rocket science. Split peas cook on simmer in a little more than one hour. Add a little water when necessary.
Dress them up with good salt, a piece of butter, mint sauce, or perhaps a small sprinkle of nutmeg. Another filling and satisfying dish.
Walk to the store, park, or wander around the block. Libraries are great destinations. Get a little sunshine on your skin. Exhale gently and fully, under trees. Then you can't help but get oxygen to the very bottom of your lungs.
Jog in place sometimes, and stretch while on your toes. Bounce some. You never know what little trick will help enormously.
Distraction is a very fine healer, and a lot more fun. Seek it.
My best,
Fledgling
