Re: advice
cipro did the same thing to my mom too. she took five rounds in one year for chronic UTI's. and there are so many home remedies for UTI's it is ridiculous! it should be illegal to prescribe such a powerful
Antibiotic for a minor infection like that. actually cipro should be illegal period. it has killed people along with all the other FQ
Antibiotics . someone i work with has a relative who wound up in a wheel chair after taking cipro. same age as me...was very active like me before all of it happened. it is just so sad. i am extremely lucky. i can't blame cipro for all symptoms but i know it plays a big part in my health crash. i actually read a ton of stories on another healthboard that is specifically for people who have had adverse reactions to a FQ
Antibiotic such as cipro and most of them are now hypothyroid.
as for my adrenals...yeah they were shot for awhile but i don't believe treating just adrenal fatigue is the right way to go when you are ill. my naturopath, who i no longer go to (my pockets have been emptied enough on mumbo jumbo treatments), specifically treats adrenal fatigue. and he kept claiming that it was the answer to my problems even though i told him a thousand times i felt it was all of the
Antibiotics and the cipro that did this to me. he said they were only the straw that broke the camels back and that it took years of stress to create my condition. from my experience and in my opinion, candida,
Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome (now known as adrenal fatigue) and all those other conditions are actually just symptoms of a diseased/sick/malfunctioning body...whatever you want to call it...and not an actual individual condition themselves. if there was one great thing i learned from unyquity, it was don't treat the symptoms, treat the cause...if you treat the body as a whole, the rest will resolve itself. i am living proof of that. i used to be a walking pill case and it got me nowhere but more stressed out. i was taking this vitamin and that vitamin...you name it, i took it. then it got to a point where i quit all supplements because number one they weren't working, and number two, my digestion got so bad that i was even allergic to most supplements too. so the last straw for me with my doctor was in march of this year when i went to my appt and one of his colleagues started treating me with NAET and then charged me 90 dollars for a bottle of water that was infused with energy that was going to desensitize me to a particular food...that's right...90 bucks for one food with some energized tincture!? are you kidding me? besides..even if the so called energized potion were real (which of course it isn't), i would've had to have been a millionaire to rid myself of all my allergies at 90 bucks a pop because just two months ago i was allergic to the whole damn grocery store!
anyhow, this is just my opinion and i understand taking a few supplements to help relieve certain symptoms, like magnesium for stress and anxiety or to help you sleep a little better...things of that nature. but popping all the seriphos in the world to treat my adrenals was NOT going to rid me of
food allergies . in fact his brilliant plan of eating protein at every meal (part of adrenal therapy) was in fact what destroyed my digestion even more. the reason my allergies kept getting worse and worse is because i got to a point where i was eating chicken for breakfast lunch and dinner! all that protein is so hard on your digestion, on top of the fact that i wasn't getting any real nutrients and i have become one acidic mess. so i have cut out all protein in the form of meat for the time being and it is working wonders for me. and i eat raw as much as i can, although my digestion is pretty weak so i have to mix in some cooked foods as well. i will never be a permanent vegetarian....i am only doing this until my digestion is under control. but i will probably only eat protein a couple of times a week as opposed to three or four times a day and i also will try to stick to fish and seafood for the most part when i do eat it. i love steak and chicken and pork and all the good stuff and i will still eat that stuff too, but only in moderation, not on a daily basis.
so if you want my advice...don't treat individual symptoms. cleanse the body and your adrenals will balance out just fine. my mom treats just her adrenals and she is doing better, but in my opinion she is doing better because she lost 30
pounds and is eating healthier, not because she pops a million pills every day. i think the placebo effect is pretty strong in her case.
as for the toe...i meant to reply to everyone's posts below but i got caught up at work and didn't have time. it is so much better! i have been doing COLD
Epsom Salt soaks, and i cut up an old t-shirt and have been bandaging it with the castor oil and it is working wonders for me! thank you so much! i don't think i will need to drill a hole in the nail which was actually suggested to me by a few coworkers if the pressure and thumping in the toe continued but i am in no pain anymore while in a resting state. i just can't apply any pressure to it while walking.
