TESTIMONIAL/Re: advice
well it is a combination of a lot of things...
for one, i took doxycycline for almost a year and a half - stupid dermatologist said it was safe and shame on me for listening. after i stopped taking it (my skin started looking worse again after all those
Antibiotics so i finally quit taking them) my body immediately started breaking down (within 2-3 weeks). i started getting strange aches and pains in my pelvic region, really bad constipation, and just did not feel right. so i went to the ER because it was a sunday and they told me i probably had a UTI, and gave me Cipro (pure POISON and loaded with fluoride). well this completely did me in. i started getting weird dizzy spells, full blown panic attacks, and was told i had an inner ear infection. inner ear infection my ass!!! my entire body was going haywire with aches, pains, visual disturbances, and 50 million other symptoms. i thought i was dying. for three months i went through a series of tests, MRI's, CT scans, ultrasounds, xrays, bloodwork, etc etc etc. nothing appeared to be wrong yet i was a complete trainwreck.
i finally learned about candida on the internet and started getting better after an anti-candida diet but still had all sorts of problems that would not go away (mainly horrendous food sensitivies). this all happened in the summer of 05' and by February of 06' my period stopped all together. prior to that it was just slowly getting lighter and lighter and shorter in duration. then i had one period in june 06' and that was the last time i had it. i have been suffering from
food sensitivities ever since and they have progessively gotten worse, not better over the past two years. until recently, i pretty much was down to eating chicken, salmon, cucumbers, lettuce, and celery. two month's ago i started oil pulling and molly bloom, bless her soul, directed me to
Iodine which lead me to UNYQUITY, who i will forever be indebted to. she is my saving grace. she explained to me the basics of healing starting with juice fasting and i dove right in and haven't stopped detoxing since. i have actually read and posted on CZ in the past on the candida boards...and already knew all about holistic healing and cleansing but was always too scared to liver flush, but i did try things like P & B shakes and all sorts of antifungals and probiotics although i never really got anywhere. so i sorta gave up and listened to my naturopath for a year who kept telling me if i just avoid the foods that bug me for long enough, my adrenal glands will level out and my allergies will start to clear. man oh man was he DEAD WRONG.
i am really rambling on now. my point is, i really don't know what was the deciding factor in ending my period. there are so many things i did to destroy my body but it was mainly all the
Antibiotics and what i strongly believe the cipro induced my hypothyroid condition. i have actually read a lot about the cipro and absolute horror stories of torn ligaments, and other severely damaged organs and bodily functions caused by cipro and all the other
Antibiotics in the fluoroquinolone drug class. i for sure thought i was permanently damaged as well. but now i know
Iodine may be the missing link for me and might be what turns things around 100 percent.
and i am happy to say my
food sensitivities are already a million times better just after two months of cleansing and on and off dosing with iodine! i can eat an apple for the first time in two years without feeling like i just drank a vile of pure poison. one bite used to send me into a tail spin and today i hate two huge apples and three bananas with a minimal reaction!
i am now on a regular schedule with the
Iodine except i take off a night or two if i feel the need to or if i am doing a cleanse like a liver flush. i really think the iodine will kick start my menstrual cycle again once i get enough of it in me to start pushing out the fluoride. and one other thing UNY explained to me was that the large intestines wrap right around the ovaries and when you have a severely clogged and inflamed bowel, it can put pressure on them and cause a lot of the problems i am having. so i am taking schulzes formula's every day on top of liver flushing, using cayenne for digestion, oil pulling, iodine, hydrotherapy for circulation, juicing, and a few other protocols are in the works as well...
i know it sounds like a lot all at once but my body is actually loving all of this detoxing! it has completely started to turn around. i still feel like i need to pinch myself sometimes when i wake up in the morning because i actually look forward to living again. i cannot tell you how wonderful it feels to have the dark cloud that has been looming over me for two years lifted away in just two short month's. for the longest time i felt like someone had pressed a pause button on only me, but the rest of the world kept moving around me. i am sure this is a familiar feeling to a lot of people here on CZ searching for answers. i am only in my late 20's so this whole condition or whatever you want to call it has sorta put a real damper on my social life if you know what i mean but look out world because i am back and will be BETTER than ever by 2008!!!! HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
one other thing i must say though is that a part of me will always be thankful for this experience and all of the changes it has brought to me life. even though it has been one hellish roller coaster ride i have been dying to get off of, i can honestly say i like the person i am now, so much better than the person i was before i got sick. i have learned so much and i truly know how to appreciate the most important things in life...which is something a lot of people don't do. the saying stop and smell the roses pretty much sums it up...at least i think so.
