Trust me, if you totally ban and eliminate junk food from you daughter, it will come back to haunt you. My mother did this to me and I snuck every chance I got to eat junk when she wasn't looking. Also, when I became and adult, I got really heavy eating junk food because I was not allowed to eat it coming up and so I gorged to my hearts delight. So moderation is the key, never force anything. Kids don't understand healthy eating the way adults see it. Eating junk food is very fun activity for kids, so let them eat some but just nicely talk to them about eating too much is not good. Trust me, your daughter will end up 300 lbs one day if you become the Mommy Dearest on a rampage about junk food.
