I'm definetley new to the forum but I have been reading a lot about fasting. In fact I've been reading about it for like almost a year and could never bring myself to do it. I'm starting tomorrow. I do have a few questions if anyone could help. Do you have to use distilled water? I have read you should use it and others say not to and to drink regular water? How much weight do you loose? I'm doing it for weight loss and to detox my body. I have 3 kids and after my second one I did the medifast diet where you were allow to eat one meal and I lost 8lbs in one week. I would hope you would loose more on a water fast? Is it likley you do gain all the weight back even if you change your eating habits after the fast and eat really well? Does it really screw up your metabolisim? Has everyone that did it really felt better afterwards? Can the healing crisis of a fast be really bad? I'm hoping this will change my body and mind set. I'm really looking for the detox benefits of this and hope this isn't all just cr**. I weight 170 lbs and this is the heavist I've ever been in my life. It seems like nothing has worked for me and I really believe it is because my body needs to be detoxed. After my last baby I haven't lost one pound since the day he was born (2years ago). I've always weighed 125 before that so that is my goal. Any advice, help and support is much appreciated.
