Re: A question I was asked today....
I agree with a previous post; I'm almost sure that not all sodas contain brominated vegetable oil...but ALL diet sodas contain
Aspartame (major bad news chemical, as I'm sure you already know).
A few drops of
Iodine daily to 'wash away' the incoming bromine? Hmmm, that obvious makes no sense to you/all of us that are 'in the know' about natural health (here's antidote for the poison you're drinking daily :(
Honestly, I would be very concerned that anybody supplementing enough
Iodine to have an impact on the poisons/toxins in their body - that is not doing any other type of cleansing or altering of their diet, might end up 'feeling' a lot worse because of the iodine. I'd hate to see you have to deal with someone with substantial detox symptoms, running off to an MD, the MD telling them that
Iodine is "poison"...and have them blaming YOU. yikes.
Yes, our bodies are DESPERATE for iodine and 'every little bit helps'...and may even rid them of symptoms and/or cure a disease. Iodine is essential - end of story :)
The most frustrating aspect of iodine supplementation is the detox symptoms/reality. Sometimes I've screamed about that (to my husband/self/others)..."why can't it be like Vitamin C or an herbal cure? WHY do I have to explain/educate/inform my friends/family about the ENTIRE picture of why iodine has been villainized by allopaths and that our bodies are laden with poisons that ARE going to start coming out, and convince them that virtually EVERYTHING they read on the internet (written my MDs) indicates that iodine is DANGEROUS...and why a doctor would lie (unknowingly).
How do you come back with a better answer? The only thing I can think of is to offer/send links full of information and/or get her to listen to the audios. I am in the midst of assisting or convincing several people, and I won't/can't even 'touch it' until they've listened to the 2 hour Flechas/1 hour Blaylock audios. To me, this whole issue is fraught with too much 'possibility for harm' unless a person has a solid baseline of understanding. Of course, I don't mean physical harm...but harm to friendships? perceived harm to health? the possibility of a whole circle of people being warned AGAINST using iodine? (that kind of harm).
I sure wish I had something better, more helpful and more constructive to offer...but at least you have some more thoughts for consideration.
'Hope that helps some, somehow :)
