If cutting meat out of your diet reduced the smell, then this might be a sign of TMAU. You should try eating foods that are low in choline and see what happens. Some people with TMAU can get rid of their smell by normalizing their gut AND cutting as much choline out of their diet. So the previous suggestion (I think his name was Mike) holds very good information for that because he also mentions TMA (trimethylaria - sp?) and these are connected. This may be why your smell changed after you did your bowel cleanse, you might have balanced your gut flora already? Make sure you take probiotics a lot, plus Mike's other suggestions of getting the gut to it's optimal health/pH, while also eating low-choline to see what happens.
