Re: Washing Baseball Caps In The Dishwasher

It probably would depend a great deal on the fabric, Perusing, and upon the dishwashing detergent. You can't exchange detergents from one machine to another, I understand...it has to do with the sudsing qualities, I believe.

One helpful book suggested boiling water straight from the kettle, poured from a foot or two high, for a cherry stain, with the cloth over a bowl.

The procedure didn't work for me, on the cloth of my skirt.

As for the stains you speak of, maybe a gentle detergent like Woolite, in only warm water, by hand, might work on that fabric...or pure Castile soap. I don't know.

You could try just a small part of it. Aggitation between your fingers is more effective than washing machine aggitation.

The dishwasher, of course, gives no more aggitation than the movement of the water.

Some products contain enzymes, to eat up body fluids. Others employ oxygen, in some way. I don't know much about these.
