Baking soda is ok. It will take away or at least help with white tongue do to patholgical yeast and acid condition due to it's alkalinity. It is actually best to let the soda sit for a while a minute or two is good rather than or in addition to scrubbing. I would include it in a protocol as I do. My routine (when needed) is oil swishing, followed by baking soda brushing/rinsing to remove oil, followed by neti to clean sinuses and throat, and perhaps a salt water gargle.

Baking powder/not soda has aluminum unless specified.
