Re: Iodine and Allergy Relief

I had leftover Standard Process Prolamine Organic Iodine leftover from my chiropractor when I put in my order for detoxified iodine.

So, for only 8 days in a row, I took ONE tablet (@ 3mg each) of the tablets. They didn't do a thing for me when they were first prescribed, probably because I was an undiagnosed Celiac at the time!. (Celiacs cannot digest the protein "gluten" from wheat, rye, barley, or oats. This, in turn, means that celiacs don't absorb nutrients well at all, causing a MYRIAD of nutritional deficiencies in the body! This disease too, is probably actually due to iodine-deficiency, as Iodine is needed to properly digest proteins!) If I had actually kept up with the Iodine tablets in the first place, ah, but I had much more to learn...and so did my chiropractor. Hindsight is always 20/20! He only prescribed it for my thyroid, nothing more, nothing less.

After being gluten-free for over 4 years, then I discovered the iodine research on January 26th of THIS year and started to consume those leftover iodine tablets! After only 8 days, I found myself needing to go to my niece's house. She has many cats, however, I did not know she kept two of them IN the house! I was severely allergic to cats, and thought I still was when I saw the cats. My sister-in-law said, "Ooooh, I forgot you were allergic to cats!"

I just said, "Oh that's okay. We're here to help Anna with that video, and if I get sick, I'll just go for a drive into town, and return later."

I never had to leave. After EIGHT hours in that house, I NEVER got symptom ONE! Eight hours would normally have been a point of no return...like ending up being so sick for a week and my lungs needing an albuterol inhaler!!!!

I didn't even get itchy eyes, ears, or sneezing. THAT was phenomenal to me.

Of course, now my sister-in-law thinks I've "faked" my allergies all this time. Sad, isn't it? *sigh*

It was after that day, that I learned on the two-hour Flechas audio, that when you are exposed to an allergen, of course, we ALL know that our histamine levels go up, and that's why our unhealthy bodies need to take an ANTI-histamine!

BUT, if your body is healthy, then the histidine levels go up, dropping the histamine levels so that your body can handle the allergen!

Guess what controls histidine levels?

YEP...that's right...IODINE!

Iodine-deficiency is definitely related to allergies.

We are allergic to things, BECAUSE we are iodine-deficient!!!!!
