Re: anyone swish with palm oil? UPDATE!
OK...
So I put the palm oil on my face for my morning oil cleaning while I rinse and brush my teeth. I was in the kitchen, mentally composing a post that would include how much I do like the rich reddish organge color of this oil! Imagine my horror when I went into the bathroom and looked in the mirror, to a face that looked like an OOmpah Loompah! I mean, BRIGHT red-orange! As if I had painted my face with Lugol's!
And what is pretty in the jar looks awful on me.
It came off with a wet cloth, thank God. We have to go out today and how would I explain that? I will experiment more with both pulling and using for skin and let you all know. I do feel like the pulling benefits included some serious sinus cleansing. When I pulled yesterday with olive/sunflower, I got a clear head (I have a little sinus infection/junk -- probably from some recent
Sugar indulgences...) but it re-congested after I stopped pulling. This morning I blew out a lot of green-yellow awfullness -- the first time I have had that in a year or so. But the palm oil has left me very clear an hour later.
The literature that came with my bottle says that the Africans regard this oil as very special and use it for company. I would imagine that it would not discolor black skin as much as mine (I am pretty fair), but I am not going to put it on before we next have company, that's for sure! ;)
