If there was no drastic or tragic event, only heartache that got you into a slump 6 yrs. ago, it might be just that you need some kind of distraction from heartache (hobby) to get back into the swing of things. Feelings of hopelessness (doldrums) can be very physically damaging (healthwise) without you really realizing it. I used to be such a worrier about having a dysfunctional family (since childhood) to deal with, I had dreams about how to do my job better at work (my only solace and peace was at work). It was the stress that was causing me to find peace in my dreams. People underestimate stress, stress can tear you apart physically and emotionally. Stress is a killer. You probably only have PHYSICAL Depression because you never let go of the heartache and fell into a slump of not having the motivation to always get the nutrition your body needs. It's catching up with you but it is reversible if you start eating right.

You don't sound like you have any really serious problems. Drinking half your your body weight (in pounds per ounces) of water every day(120 lbs.-60 ounces) should clear up your skin) and help you get more sleep, improve digestion and give you more energy. Eating easy to digest food or just drinking vegetable juices should leave you with a lot more energy. You don't need to do anything extensive to get healthy IF you are not dying from a disease. If you want to become the healthiest person on this planet, well, you've just given yourself a new neurosis (and I don't know anyone who's giving out gold medals for health).

From what you've said, you are HEALTHY (overall, count your blessings). You have some things you want to clear up, but that's it, O.K. you're not perfect,...nobody is, but YOU are healthy. Sea Salt is very good for general health, Garlic is good for digestion, water is good for everything, minerals, vitamins etc. but NO Aspartame. You probably don't need to flush (unless there's something that you KNOW that shouldn't be in you) because you might flush some of the good (flora) bacteria from your intestine (if it's not broken, don't fix it).
