Re: Has anyone used CS in farming???

Hi,
I've built some large scale CS makers for pools and spas a few years back, but unfortunately here in Sunny Oz, the regulations require that a pool MUST used a minimum quantity of Chlorine, and the pool stores weren't remotely interested cos they make their money selling the chemicals. I did work with a goat farmer /cheesemaker who was having problems with Mastitis, and CS was extremely effective in a very short time. Once you understand the process and the math you can built a CS maker as big as you like. For the goat farm I built a unit that floats in the main holding tank and was solar powered. The gadget ran continously and was set up for around 5-7ppm. I suspect you could get by with lower concentrations than that, because ruminant animals digestive systems are more efficent at extracting nutrients from their food. Plastic tanks aren't really a problem because the CS doesn't sit for long periods of time, and this can be taken into account in the design. It's all do-able.
