Coconoil? Plastic containers? Buttery smell?

I've just got some VCO which is a brand called Coconoil. Anyone used this? It does smell like coconut but not greatly and I tried some on my skin, now my skin smells... well, kind of buttery!! I'm not sure I want to smell of butter lol!
Its in a plastic container and I've heard recently that VCO in plastic containers smells funny and tastes funny. Any advice on this? Tweet
