I understood that, however thought that the apparent benefit of Iodine in the case of both sebacious cysts and keloids would translate to benefit any scaring as well. My apologies if I have offended you.

Iodine will not fill in your scaring, it will work from the inside out. If I understand correctly, even with topical application it will slowly absorb into the tissue and possibly benefit the site of application.

My oldest son and daughter both have keloids, however thankfully they have remained localized to the ears in my daughter's case from ear piercings, and a cancer surgery sight on the neck of my son. In both cases however, they are VERY unsightly and cause both my kids some pain and anguish.

As a result of your post I have examined some of my own scaring (which I normally ignore) and the skin in\on and around all of my scars (I have many) appears to be healthier more supple and in some cases with the smaller ones less noticeable than they did. I have been eating kelp for about 9 months or so and just started Iodine about three or four weeks ago.

I would suspect that if Iodine has even a small positive effect on keloids it would also help any skin condition and has been helping mine.
