To Noillusions: Help! Wicked bad case of eczema

I'm really glad you found relief for your eczema. I didn't know there was
an eczema forum! thanks for telling me--I'll definitely look at it.
I already do not eat dairy. I quit that last year. My diet is not vegan as
I need to have protein, but I do not eat much. I keep being told I need to
get more. I have not ever been an aspartame eater and I too do not use
processed or packaged foods. I eat no refined sugar. I stay far away from
bakery goods or breads, wheat products, etc. I have never been a soft
drink user. I also drink only water (state-of-the-art ionizer from Japan)
or fresh juices I juice myself. I did a 30-day juice fast last July. I
used to fast quite a bit in the eighties and did a 3 week fast in the
summer of 1996 and 1997. I used to do colonics (I actually trained as a
colonic therapist in 1990 and worked for a short time doing that) but I no
longer have them. Not because I don't like them, I just can't afford them.
I have done a total of 6 liver flushes. I would do them more frequently, but
because I invariably throw up in the middle of the night after ingesting
the olive oil/grapefruit mixture, I have to wait a while between each one
to get up my gumption. The next one might be a Coke-type flush, even though
I am not a Coke drinker and just the thought of it makes me want to puke. I
saw an acupuncturist recelty for airborne allergies (pollen) but only once
as I cannot afford to do that either. My insurance does not cover acupuncture,
and my part-time salary does not afford me to do much of anything extra,
especially this year as my husband and I are adding a room and a bath onto
our house (boy will I be glad when that's over!!). Diet-wise I'm probably
doing everything right but was just advised to quit using oranges or making
orange juice, which I have been doing on a daily basis for well over a year
now. Something is kicking this up, and I have an inflammation going that is
a lot more than just the eczema, apparently. I also have high blood pressure,
something I've never had, not even close, and elevated blood sugar. I do not
eat junk, can't afford to do that--and in this case, it's not the money, it's
the risk to my health. I've invested far too much time and money into being
well to even want to eat something that I know is not going to be good for me.
Of anyone I know I spend the most $ and the most time in self-care and
focus on wellness and health, so it mystifies me that this could even be
happening. Most of the folks I know don't even know about conditions I try
to avoid and foods I avoid, let alone working to avoid them, if you know
what I mean! (and you probably do :-)
