Electrodes can last up to year or maybe 50 gallons of CS with with typical use.The least expensive way to test cs is by shining a laser through the solution. The other way is to use a Hanna PWT available from Silvergen. This unit tests the conductivity of the water. You can test your water before you make the CS and then after. Then you do a little math to figure out your ppm. Usually most distilled water tests out at less than 1 microseimen. When CS production is finished you should have at least 10 microseimens on the PWT which is about 10ppm. It's not exact but it gives you a ballpark figure to know where your ppms are at.
