Hi Analogkid

God, you know your stuff! Well, we followed your instructions, my hubby fixed it all up and it's working.

If I'm honest, it's gobblydook to me!! I asked him with regards to your questions. Before we connected it up it read 9.7V.

(I did the tongue test on the copper tubes to see if it was buzzing and it is). My hubby was a bit perturbed that I needed advice on this but I just wanted to make sure, although I did not doubt his abilities really).

So I think I'm up and running now.

I'd like to thank you for helping me and taking time to respond is such detail. You've been a great help.
