When I purchase 50lb. bags they generaly have the location of the mill where it was bagged. The seed I got from texas was direct from the farmer through wheatgrassman.com.The differance in the seeds from the mill and the farmer was dramatic. The mill seed is blended for a particular product.A high protein product would be whole wheat bread. And a low protein would be doughnuts.I had purchased 2 50lbs. bags from the same mill>wheatland milling inc.collinston utah 84306< and the results from the second bag was poor, fed half of the bag to the birds! The best sprouting seed comes direct from the farm before it gets to the mill. This is where seeking good seed gets difficult, most farmers dont bag there grain.I buy from several differant sources each spring hoping to find better seed.I will continue my quest for good seed and will post any good finds. As far as kamut goes I havent bought any yet. There was a poster at ewheatgrass.com that had germenation issues with the kamut he was growing.I will have to do some more reserach on kamut in the near future.Good luck with your new garden and happy growing!!
