NO YOU SHOULD NOT WAIT!! I had my Mirena in for 3 1/2 years and had mild cramping around my period. It hurt for 30 seconds upon insertion and then I never felt it again. I am reading this blogs and am shocked at all of the stories of pain and horrible side effects. I had NONE! I removed it last month to have another baby not because of any problems. Your body obviously doesn't want it in it. Get it out. This is not normal pain! Good Luck! Tweet
