Thanks for pointing that out. I was foolish enough to assume that it was the original poster!

My concern was that the original poster was so focused on her hatred of the child that she was unable to see the entire picture of how and why this child is behaving in the manner that she does. Yeah, the child is in dire need of intervention, but the father has left his responsibility up to his new wife, rather than renegotiate a custody/visitation arrangement that will benefit the child, not the adults.

And, there seems to be some deeper issues with regard to this whole scenario that would be much better addressed by a family counselor/therapist who is attending to the needs of the child with ALL parties involved.
