there is some information on coconut oil. i wouldn't hold my breath trying to change the mind of someone in the medical community and they MUST be wed to their ideas in order to justify their educations and to continue to work every day, even at the expense of their patients'/clients' health (can you tell I have my own ideas about this!?), but it is still my experience that in any situation, it is hard for someone to refute just that...my experience.
but it is also hydrogenation of lard that makes it a baddy. basically, forcing these foods into unnatural states robs them of nutritive and healing properties and turns them into agents of disease and ill health. also, and unfortunately, into better moneymakers for the food industry.
