Ok, at least by theory, there is detox, and I have some fat on my body and it wasn't put there by eating too many veggies so there must be some detox, (about 15 lbs too much) but there are no headaches, tiredness, only slightly coated tongue. I've upped my cayenne pepper - double the amount of 90,000 BTU cayenne from the health food store (twice as hot as grocery store cayenne). So basically my lemonade is 4x as hot as most. My detox was light when I did it in the summer. The only thing I really feel on the cleanse is bored when I think about food - bored about just having lemonade anyway.
I can't be so clean so I wonder if I did a long fast would I see something more dramatic. This is the first time my husband ever knew someone doing anything like this and when I first started reading about fasting he was very upset about me talking about starving myself so me going 2 weeks is a big thing. I think he'd worry too much if I did 30 days! hmmmmm....ah well, if I only do short fasts, wouldn't I eventually see something more tangible?
Either way one big benefit for me is a "reset" of the taste buds making it easier to eat healthy afterwards. -roooooooooth
