Obsessive Health Disorder

I have been reading CureZone a lot over the past few days, and have noticed a new trend: an obsession with one specific mineral.

I recall, not too long ago, when Potassium was the mineral of choice, due mainly to Dr. Christopher and Dr. Max Gerson who both stated that Potassium was the cure for cancer. Then of course we had (and still have to a certain extent) the Calcium Cult who bend over backwards to pump as much calcium (organic and otherwise) into their veins as is humanly possible. And only a few days ago did I read of someone (whose name I forget) who proclaimed that calcium had done him/her no good, and that he/she was now planning to concentrate on maximum ingestion of magnesium. Now, today, I read talk of taking two, three, and even five teaspoons of kelp in order to take in as much Iodine as possible!

Am I the only one shaking his head at the recent inception of the Order of the Overdose?

Balance, anyone?
