Re: Warm Weather

Totally -

Northern California (San Francisco Bay Area) has had record breaking cold. We have had pipes burst in our neighborhood. If it were raining, it would be snowing here.

But I have seen it snow three times in the the 40 years I've lived here (about 30 and then 20 years ago, and I forget the other time). So, is it really that strange this year? Isn't that what they say every year?

I thought the heavy El Nino years were bad. We had flooding (also very rare).

I remember one year (1985 or 6?)there was a very late spring up in Canada. The Grizzlies were waking up late, and they were very very hungry! One attacked the back of a restaurant while we were eating there. (poor bus boy was throwing away trash) Such mass pandemonia you've never seen! Poor bear! Glacier National Park...

So, all in all, I know that there is much talk about Global Warming, and I truly hope that it doesn't exist, but the facts don't look good. But I also know that Mother Nature plays a big hand in being psychotic. Actually I think she's sort of pissed at George W right now....but that's MY opinion.

It's strange now, it was strange last summer, it was strange 10 winters ago, it was strange 40 summers ago...But we will always say so.

Molly
